About Dr. Maurer (she/her)
Dr. Maurer is a licensed psychologist/pediatric neuropsychologist and co-founder of the Pediatric Mindworks Center at HRA. Her clinical expertise includes neuropsychological assessment of school-age children/adolescents presenting with a wide variety of neurological, neurodevelopmental, and neuropsychiatric conditions. Dr. Maurer specializes in Autism, ADHD, trauma, medically involved/genetic conditions, and learning differences. She has a special interest in helping families understand neurodiverse children, using flexible assessment batteries. Dr. Maurer strives to make the assessment process low-stress and fun for the child/adolescent while ensuring best practices of care. She was honored to be rated as one of the TopDocs in multiple categories by GR Kids in 2024 including ADHD Testing, Autism Testing, Mental Health Professional, and Disabilities Specialist.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Dr. Maurer is pleased to call West Michigan her home where she has practiced for over ten years. Don't be fooled though, she remains passionate about Pittsburgh sports…Go Steelers! She is a lover of dogs, especially her two rescued beagles. When not working, Dr. Maurer can be found listening to true crime podcasts, boating on Lake Michigan, and following her favorite band on tour across the country.
