About Dr. Schaafsma (she/her)
Dr. Schaafsma provides individual counseling for young adults and adults. She has over ten years of experience providing brief and long term counseling services in university counseling centers, community mental health and private practice settings. She utilizes an empathic and collaborative approach grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), offering culturally responsive care tailored to her clients’ unique needs and goals. Dr. Schaafsma is deeply committed to helping her clients heal and thrive as they navigate anxiety, depression, stress, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, etc.
