About Ashlynn
Ashlynn is a Licensed Clinical Master Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Calvin University and her Clinical Master of Social Work degree from Michigan State University. Ashlynn has experience working with children and adolescents healing from histories of trauma, and in early childhood attachment/development. She worked as a direct care treatment provider at the D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s residential treatment program for several years before transitioning to home-based behavioral intervention services at Wellspring Lutheran Services for children and families in the foster care system. Ashlynn then worked as an Outpatient Therapist at Pine Rest, where she gained experience working with a variety of clients managing mental health disorders.
Ashlynn takes an integrative approach to treatment, utilizing aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strengths-Based/Trauma-Informed care. She is passionate about providing an emotionally safe environment for children and teens in order to allow them a place to process through trauma and difficult situations. Ashlynn’s areas of expertise include working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or abuse and those battling anxiety and depression. She also works with early childhood attachment, adoption/foster care issues, sexual abuse, and ADHD.
